Facial Aesthetics

At Cheslyn Hay Dental Practice improving your self-confidence is at the heart of what we do. This is not limited to dental treatments; we also offer facial aesthetics treatments. Over time our bodies produce less of the natural substances that keep our skin firm, elasticated and hydrated.

Offering the most advanced and sophisticated non-surgical, anti-aging procedures and treatments available on the market. These include botulin toxin for wrinkle and fine line smoothing and dermal fillers for natural beautiful enhancements.

Why consider Facial Aesthetics?

  • Lines, wrinkles, and a loss of radiance are unfortunately a natural part of the ageing process. Overtime our skin cells become less effective at repairing themselves, and we produce less collagen. This causes our skin to become thinner and lose its youthful glow.
  • Genetics will influence the process, but environmental factors also play a part. Ultraviolet (UV) light, smoking, a high-sugar diet, lack of sleep and stress can all affect repair and collagen production.
  • Keeping these risks factors minimal, particularly your exposure to UV light, will go some way towards preventing the first signs of ageing. Unfortunately it won’t stop or reverse the process, however, this is where we can help. Using the most advanced anti-ageing treatments, we can help you to roll back the years and achieve natural and radiant results.

Botulin Toxins – Wrinkle reduction injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are a commonly used treatment. Considered safe and effective for the reduction of facial wrinkles and smoothing of unwanted lines, to create a fresh, rejuvenated and youthful appearance.  It can also help to prevent the development of new lines.

Commonly treated areas include:

  • Forehead lines
  • Crow’s Feet around the eyes
  • Frown lines
  • Bunny lines on bridge of nose
  • Neck bands
  • Gummy smiles
  • Lines surrounding the mouth
  • Chin dimples
  • Masseter muscle for teeth grinding

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injected directly into the skin with a fine needle to boost volume, define contours, smooth unwanted lines, and scars. There are many types of dermal fillers on the market. However, we only use dermal filler products containing hyaluronic acid, which replaces the naturally existing substance found in your skin. It repairs damaged tissues and stimulates collagen production.

Commonly treated areas include:

  • Lips
  • Cheeks
  • Neck
  • Nasio-labial (nose-to-lip)
  • Marionettes (lip-to-chin)
  • Tear troughs (under eye hallows)
  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty (Nose)
  • Jaw reshaping
  • Chin reshaping
  • Hand rejuvenation

Under Arm or Excess Sweating (Hyperhydrosis)

Hyperhydrosis is a condition characterised by abnormally increased sweating. You may sweat so much that it soaks through your clothes or drips off your hands. Besides disrupting normal daily activities, this type of heavy sweating can cause social anxiety and embarrassment.

How we treat Hyperhydrosis?

Injections of botulinum toxin type A are used to block neural control of the sweat glands.

Anti-sweating treatments normally take up to 10 days for you to stop sweating in the treated area. However the effect can last 3-9months depending on the site. The effects of Botulin Toxin are temporary, which means you’ll need more injections in the future.

Skin Rejuventation Treatments – Sunekos, Oabji

Sunekos is a new, intelligent injectable substance, different to dermal fillers. Which contains a mixture of amino acids the essential building blocks of elastin and collagen and hyaluronic acid (HA), which is naturally found in your skin.

Sunekos regenerates the Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) of your skin and deeply hydrates both superficial and deep layers of your skin, while plumping the treated tissue. This leads to ‘dermal biogenesis’. The results illustrate a reduction in the severity of your wrinkles and fine lines, and boosts the elastin in your skin giving a more youthful appearance.

Dr Kayleigh specialises in facial aesthetic treatments here at Cheslyn Hay Dental Practice. As a medically trained professional, she has expertise knowledge specifically in the anatomy of the head and neck. As well as, experience in pain control and complications management.
